I met Aaron a few years ago in college and we became really good friends our senior year. Aaron is one of the nicest guys I know. This last weekend I got a chance to travel to Washington for the first time. Jessica and Steve had an awesome little wedding at her parent's house. I love the intimacy and warmth of home weddings. Last week I got to shoot a friend of mine's family. I met Darren in college, and him and his wife Janelle are awesome people, so it was no surprise that his family was great as well. They all live across the States, so they don't get together much, and it was cool to see them all as new parents... and grandparents. The kids were troopers. I played a little "Uncle Bob" at Bri's brother's wedding yesterday. It was a Irish themed wedding on 4th of July and it was one of the best weddings I've ever been to. The entire day was hilarious and there were only thirty five people there. I loved it! We all took a decked out school bus up to Portland after the wedding for the reception... trying to explain the bus would do it injustice, so I'll just leave it as entertaining. The evening was full of Irish music, beer, great food, dancing and a lot of laughs. Have fun in Ireland Phil and Sarah. Here's to you!

Last week Brittany and Andrew got married at the Lambs Fellowship church in Lake Elsinore. They are both recent CBU graduates so there are many exciting things going on in their lives right now. The wedding was great and both of them have amazing families. It is always good to see family and friends enjoying themselves at weddings. Last week I had the priviledge of shooting Kevin and Nicole's wedding. They had there wedding at The Crestmore Manor in Riverside. I never knew it existed, but it was a amazing. Kevin is an old friend of mine, so the wedding turned out to be a big renuion and it was great to be apart of it. I've never laughed so much at wedding. I really enjoyed shooting this for them, and am so excited for this new stage in their lives. Love you both!

Huntington Beach

Last night a few of us went down to the beach to celebrate Brit's birthday. We played over-the-line, Chef Taylor made gourmet burgers, and Jon provided the kites. We've all been so busy lately I think it was nice to have a relaxing night for everyone. Here's a little rundown on how the night went... have a good week!

I know it has been a long time since my last post. There have been many things going on for me and photography has been put on a little hold, but I am so blessed. I cannot thank my friends and family enough. One of the other many blessings is living in beautiful Southern California, I love it. Also, I have a few projects I'm working on and my hope is to blog at least three times this month, so check back in.

This last weekend I got to hang out with Bethany and TK down at the Mission Inn. They have been engaged for a few month and I'm really excited for them. I had a good time shooting this, and they were great about everything. They were completely laid back and had fun with the whole thing. Old Friends...

A lot people don't know this but Kevin Adams and I have known each other since our freshmen year at CBU. Really, after our first couple of years we became more like brothers. Over the years we've stayed in touch, but we have definitely grown into our own jobs and lives. It's great to still know him now and see what God has been doing in his life, especially with Nicole. Kevin and I have both grown up in many ways and I know that he would credit a lot of his growth to Nicole. She is a lot of fun and it helped during this shoot. She was great about getting Kev to laugh and goof around. It was a really fun shoot, and it was good to catch up with both of them. I'm so happy for you two. Thank you for letting me be apart of the engagement and wedding. Love you guys! hope you in enjoy the pictures.

Last month I went back to Beaumont to shoot Allison and Shaun's wedding. The Price family has been a life long family friend and Allison is practically a sister to me so this wedding was really exciting for me to be apart of. I met Shaun about six month ago when he came walking into my parent's house at about 2:00 a.m. to stay the night.... long story, but he's a great guy and it is a little creepy how much these two fit together. I'm confident that these two are going to have a great God fearing marriage with lots of humor and hopefully kids as well. Thank you again for allowing me to be apart of your wedding. This past weekend Tyler and I took the long drive up to Vacaville, Ca. to shoot Kyle and Malorie's wedding. They were a really cool couple and everyone involved with the wedding was great. We left Friday morning to get up there in time to shoot the rehearsal dinner and when we got there they had a really creative idea to rent out a little kids amusement park with rides and things. Immediately I could tell that this was going to be a fun wedding. It was nice to see the love and support these two families and their friends had for the soon to be newlyweds. Kyle and Malorie, along with the wedding party, were troopers with all the pictures we had them pose for. Good luck with everything, and I hope you're having fun in Jamaica!

Yes, finally, in a few weeks my younger sister and I are graduating from college... and no we are not twins. I've never really been what you would call an organized person with my life and enjoy living day by day, but I have had a lot of fun and truly believe that God has me exactly where He wants me. I cannot put into words how much He has blessed me in all my foolishness and I know that He will continue to do so. I'm also so proud of my sister Whitney, Kelsie too, they are very driven and strong girls and I love them both. I'm honored to be able to walk with one of my sisters. We've all been close since we were kids and I'm grateful for all the support they have given me in everything I do.

About two months ago I got the opportunity to help out on a project collaboration between Chris and Jerry Baker, owners of City Cuisine Catering + Design, and David Myers, owner of Sona, Boule and Comme Ca. I used to work for Chris and Jerry a few years ago and it was nice to see them again and see the changes and big steps their business is taking. The shoot was at the restaurant Comme Ca in Los Angeles. The resteraunt had a great atmosphere and is definitely worth checking out if you are ever in the L.A. area. The bar tenders were awesome, some of the best I've seen, not that I'm that well rounded when it comes to knowing bar tending skills... but they were good. Anyways, here are a few from the night.

If you're looking at this blog you're (thanks Summer) probably consistently looking at Trever Hoehne's blog as well, or at least you should be. He has been shooting the card company, {cotton}, owned by Mindy Gayer, and both of them were kind enough to let me come along on a lifestyle project last Saturday. It was a lot of fun, the girls were incredible and did an awesome job. I always learn a ton when I'm out with Trev. Mindy's studio was great, it was nice to finally get to see it after hearing about for so long. Can't wait to see everyone again. Thanks for the experience. Here are few photos.

So for the last few months I've been debating on starting a blog, but haven't felt that I have anything to blog. However, recently I've had the opportunity to work much more with photography, so thus the first post on my new blog. A little over a month ago I got the privelege to shoot Ashley and Barry's weddings. I've known Barry and his family since I was a kid, so it was nice to catch up. It was also nice to see and catch up with old friends from home. The wedding was great and Ashley did an awesome job designing the entire wedding herself... insane.
